Below are 12 networking calls and a good number of calls to hiring managers looking for work opportunities within major and minor companies. The 12 networking calls are your first “assignment” if you want to use the Davis Method for getting yourself a cool new job.

The 12 Networking Calls are hard calls to make, even for me, because we are phoning people we respect and essentially asking for their help. We don’t like to ask for help, do we?

The calls to hiring managers are rather fun, because you don’t know the guy and you can make a great game out of getting past the obstacles between you and him.

RESULTS

My next-day results from those seven networking calls got me three great job leads.  Two are for Business Development Managers and one is for a Sr. Engineering Recruiter position.  I have an interview with the GM of the search firm tomorrow AM at 9, and was flat out offered a very interesting BDM position over the phone from a former employer.
